Breweries all over the country: my favorite beers across the US!

When I started vet school I was not particular to any type of alcohol at all. Then I befriended a German who opened my taste buds to dark smoky delicious beers and it blew my mind!

Turns out I love beer! Especially microbrews.

One of my favorite things about travel is trying new breweries. I am particular to local breweries with quirky tap rooms and good tripels or stouts on nitro.

I have a collection of growlers that is a bit excessive and required my sweet hubby D to build them their own special display hangers!

Every new place I go, I try find a good brewery. I have been to so many throughout my travels but these are the ones that really stick out.

I have by far been to more in Alaska than anywhere else but am only posting my favorites.

Bleeding Heart Brewery in Palmer, Alaska: this place started on a farm then outgrew their small barn digs and had to move into town and have a cool warehouse with a neat shop attached. The beet IPA is phenomenal!

Midnight Sun Brewery in Anchorage, Alaska: I love this restaurant and brewery. I go here every time I visit Anchorage! The Panty Peeler is a fantastic Tripel and they also have fun rotating taps and the food is always amazing. I have also purchased a bit of art from their local artists they feature every month.

Bear Paw Brewery in Wasilla, Alaska: This might be my favorite brewery ever. Their beer never disappoints. The Mat-Made Stout is so good on nitro, the  Frontiersman IPA is also a solid choice too.

Homer Brewing in Homer Alaska: Small simple tap room that is always a great place to stop after visiting the spit.

Hoodoo brewery in Fairbanks, Alaska: Fun small tap room with a line out the door!

Silver Gulch Brewery in Fox, Alaska: Such good food and delicious brews. They have a brewpub in Anchorage too. I am quite fond of their stout and Cheese soup.

Lucky Labrador Brew Pub in Portland, Oregon: Not only do they have a cool name but they also have a beer and décor.

Bridgeport Brewing in Portland, Oregon: This had a large variety of beers including several good dark beers.

New Belgium Brewery in Ashville, North Carolina: Not a small brewery but a very good one for lagers with a really cool tasting room and gift shop!

Ashville Brewing in Ashville, North Carolina: This is a small Ashville Brewery that is very crowded on weekends and has some decent dark beers.

Boulevard Brewery in Kansas City, Missouri: Another big but amazing brewery. They also make Quirks which are my all time favorite alcoholic seltzers.

Walnut River Brewery in El Dorado, Kansas: This brewery may seem in the middle of now where but they have perfected an Orange IPA. Whenever I am outside in the heat, especially fishing and hiking I crave this beer!

Lakefront Brewery in Milwaukee, Wisconsin: Fun huge tasting room with really good food and trivia nights.

Payette Brewery in Boise, ID: This was a fun stop in Boise with delicious beer and a giant tasting room!

Bells Brewery in Kalamazoo, Michigan: This is a really neat place to eat and try some delicious local brews. I really liked the Strawberry and Creme beer. The Pierogis were quite tasty as well.

Travel feeds my soul, breweries make it a more tasty meal! Cheers!
